Workshop at the Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School
I am very excited to be running another 5-day workshop at the renowned Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School in Sicily from Monday 28 May to Saturday 2 June 2018.
This will be my third workshop at the glorious Case Vecchie, some 2 hours south east of Palermo. It will be the end of Spring/start of Summer, so the garden at the property will be ripe with fruit, and the vines of Tasca D’Almerita’s Tenuta Regaleali, which surround the cooking school will be lush and green.

VISIT COOKING SCHOOL
Each day of the workshop we will focus on different ingredients, understanding their source or production and then how they are used in cooking. Finally we will be eating them! Our days will have activities including visiting the local cheese-maker to watch traditional ricotta-making with sheeps-milk and cheese tasting; foraging for seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs in the gardens at Case Vecchie; ; wine-tasting; a trip to the historic fish markets in Catania and a visit to a local ceramic maker.
There will be cooking classes on most days, using the ingredients we have collected during our travels. The food we will share will be fresh, seasonal and delicious, and we will drink exceptional Sicilian wine.
The accommodation is in charming rooms that are part of the 19th century Case Vecchie country home and cooking school and have the gorgeous blue framed-windows you see in the photos. Beds have embroidered linen, old framed prints full of Sicilian rustic charm line the walls of the bedrooms. Several rooms have sweeping views of the vineyard and gardens from the shuttered windows. There is a new swimming pool on the grounds of the school, looking out to the vineyard; the weather should be warm enough for at least a couple of swims. You will be part of a community of people who have stayed at beautiful Case Vecchie and participated in workshops. All meals, drinks, cooking classes, accommodation, and all travel during the workshop are included in the price (transfers to and from Case Vecchie are excluded).
