ONLINE CLASSES: while we have pandemic restrictions in Melbourne, I am running online cooking classes via ZOOM for up to eight participants. Classes run on weekends, for one and a half to two hours, usually around lunch time AEST, with classes for cakes/sweets in the afternoon. As the class is small in size, we can all see each other on screen and I can give assistance where possible. See further details below. Class cost is $75 AUD. While we cannot cook together in person, at least we can spend time together online.
IN PERSON CLASSES FOR 2020 HAVE BEEN CANCELLED: if you have booked a place in a class for 2020, you will be given a class credit. When pandemic restrictions have eased, I will be in touch to slot you into a class. If you have a gift voucher purchased in 2019 and 2020, you will have a class credit that is valid until the end of 2021, in spite of the expiry date on your voucher. Thanks for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. You can also nominate to swap one in person class for two online classes.
IN PERSON CLASSES (2021): I run intimate cooking classes for 6 – 8 people in my renovated warehouse apartment in North Fitzroy in Melbourne. It feels more like a gathering of friends with a shared love of making Italian food rather than a formal class.
All classes are hands-on (unless specified) with your own work-station. We will be tasting the food we make and (unless specified) you will be taking some home to share with family and friends. Please note that my apartment has internal stairs so is not suitable for anyone who cannot easily walk up and down them.
Cost per in person class: $150 per person, includes one-on-one tuition (except where indicated) and take home recipe cards/booklet. Home made Italian biscotti, cakes or savoury snacks will be served during the class as well as complimentary wine or Prosecco.
So that we can all attend class safely, I am not running the following three classes while social distancing rules apply: Biscotti and cannoli; Pastry making; Bespoke 3-course lunch classes. Once social distancing requirements become a thing of the past, and we can start sharing equipment, I will run them again.
VOUCHERS for cooking classes in Melbourne are available. Click here to purchase a voucher for a cooking class of your choice.
If you wish to redeem a voucher that you have purchased or received, choose a class date that you would like to attend and get in touch with me by email
If there are fewer than 4 participants, classes will not be able to run and your money will be refunded. From classes purchased after 23 May 2020, if you cannot attend a class, you will be able to transfer to a future class (with one full week’s notice) or transfer the class to a friend (at any time).

This class is dedicated to the recipes my mother taught me.
